immersion heater

Hi folks,

Just a quick question about an immersion,

Called to a job and the girls gas has gone, she also sources hot water via the gas, can I in any get hot water via the immersion as a tempory solution.

There is mains still at the immersion fuse spur.

Is there any power at the element?

im not too sure, i take it the load goes direct to the element?
the immersion has not been used for years

Big question here is - is there still an immersion tank and does it have a element still connected in it?

Even with gas or oil heating/hot water, the immersion heater is often left connected as a backup source. You are on-site mate, so only you know if it's usable.

i find it 50/50 nowadays, no tank in my cupboard anymore when the previous owner had combi fitted but still had a live switch point in cupboard, but yes it good back-up if plumber aint weighing in the tank.
