I've had 3 calls lately about Immersun - great you think, unfortunately they are all about 40 miles away and nearly fall off their chair when I quote ÂŁ500 incl vat. Am I miles out on cost?? I thought it was a reasonable price for someone who hasn't been one of our customers and when I don't know what we're turning up to. We charge ÂŁ400 on top of solar if we're already at the job.

We've always done them for ÂŁ495 for non-customers. Often got the order. One bloke told us a competitor was trying to charge nearly ÂŁ800! Having said that, the last enquiry we got was over a week ago. Customer seems to be spending an awful long time 'thinking about it'.

that's about right, though we have done it for ÂŁ450+vat if it's close by and barely any wiring to run etc, but only when pushed.

Non customers ÂŁ499 inc VAT, Customers get it for ÂŁ475 all in. (90% of installs go to non-customers - but then we aren't big on domestic installs :) )

Worked out the same price for us, I'm sending out my FIT newsletter (a bit late) to existing customers with the immersun leaflet. If we sell 20 be a nice little earner. 20% Vat right ?

Had two enquiries about Immersun recently. Both non-standard:

1) Customer has 3kWp south-facing unshaded system. I'm planning to take a look at the boiler before deciding whether or not to recommend it. I wondered what was the smallest PV system people have fitted an Immersun to?

2) Customer has an E/W 4kWp split. They have a pretty old gas boiler and the house is unoccupied most days so I'm thinking that they would benefit from it. Has anyone noticed any issues installing on a similar arrangement?
