wired up a in line fan which does not have a timer as one that as, it as a switched live which is not required. Cannot get to the fan now but have access to the wires running from it.how do i wire it up. the fan operates from a pull switch and also operates a low voltage light from a transformer. Any help appreciated.

So you just need a switch line and neutral and cpc to fan....If you fed the switch (got permenate live/neutrals at pull cord) you could go from there (take switch wire & neutral to fan) if you not then i take it there a loop in/out somewhere for LV lights so in which you would need go from there...or maybe from your last light point to your fan.

Take it you been under floor boards with carpet on top? correct me anyone if wrong but dont think that is satisfactory accessibility.!

As you not got timer....you just want fan to engage when lights come on so it just needs a switch and neutral...NO perminate feed.. If it was wired with timer norm to have brown as perminate, black as switch (with Live brown sleave ID) grey as neutral (with neutral blue sleave ID)......Depends when 3 core is coming from ?

As you have no perminate/ no timer the fan will be isloated when lighting is switch off. So if im correct you should not need fan 3 pole fan isolator too...please correct me if wrong.
