Lady asked me to look at a hallway socket . Every time she switched the faceplate on/off, the lights in the heels of the boy's trainers next to a plugged in appliance cable, briefly came on. Couldn't remember at the time, but think Lenz' Law was the guilty party.

Might depend on the nature of the load ... sounds like an RF/EM pulse triggering the electronics in the shoes, nothing to worry about.
