Hi, replacing gas hob with Zannusi 7.3kw (max)32a induction hob, and oven with aeg 3.2kw(max) 16a. I was going to put hob on existing 32a 6mm separate circuit, simple swap. However, my question is, can I put the oven on the other 32a kitchen ring circuit? Both require hard wire not plug and play. Any advice gratefully received.

The existing 6mm circuit can supply both oven and hob, by fitting a dual outlet plate.
At 3.2kW the oven is on the limit to run off a 13 amp plug, and many manufacturers state that a 13 amp plug should not be fitted, so would you not be able to supply it from the ring final circuit.

Hi, that's what I was thinking, but didn't want to overload the 32a kitchen ring. Wasn't sure as it has kettle, microwave etc?

agree.put oven and hob on the existing dedicated 32A circuit, using a diaul cooket outlet, no need to touch the ring.

So, put the induction hob at 7.3kw and the oven at 3.2kw on the original 32 amp 6mm oven circuit. Will that be ok? I wasn't too sure if I could do that. Thanks for the help ?
that's right. the current draw of cooking appliances never gets as high as the rating as :

1.not all elements are used together, and:
2. thermostats cycle elements on and off,

Completely confused now. Had an electrician out yesterday and has told me I'll need a separate circuit installing for the oven ?. For the love of god, what do I need to do ?

Make arrangements via an experience Electrician for a new circuit to allow for your new circuit
