I

in got a clue

hi all just looking for some info please...
so iv been working for this electrical company for over 8 years but iv been out for a year now as iv been thought quite abit, i lost my little girl so iv had quite abit of time off work and iv been thinking of working for my self..(as i thought what where friends have not been incontat with me to see how i am so i really dont want to go back.)
As installing home alarms and maybe commercial dont know yet...
I just wanted to know where i stand im guessing i wont need to be part P as its low V but i will be installing spur's for the pannel and other equipment depending on how far i get into installing..
iv done 2330 level 2 and 3 allso nvq 2.. but no 16th or 17th.
but iv been told that because its only a single spur that buildings inpecter can look over the installation i have thought about getting someone in just to fit the spur but this can be upto ÂŁ150 atime just for 5 min's work and thats just to much and also i would like to sing off work so people can inform there insurance coampany to get there discount so any help with this would be grate thanks agen

You need to get your 17th ed mate to be on the safe side, its only ÂŁ45/50 to sit the exam, and because you've had experience in the field you'll have no problem passing it - its a multiple choice online exam, not difficult in the slightest.

If you've been in the game for that long, and you've got the basic quals anyway then don't see a problem...do you mean nvq3? or isit a 2? if so didn't even know it existed.

Go for it buddy.
