hi,

anyone out there ever installed an ingersoll-rand ssr ml45ac compressor, its a 3 phase supplied compressor.

my employer has bought this second hand and is looking for me to install it in an outhouse at the back of our new premises,

im needing advice as to how to isolate this and basically what size of isolator is needed!

here is the plant plate!

any help would be appreciated!!!

Do I read 92 A correctly? If this is the case use the nearest avail rated fuse, make sure the supply cable can take it. Use a Glasgow fused isolator with 100A BS88 fuses. Sadly the manufacturing date is not shown, but I think they use soft start
nowadays so with 100A you should be OK.

I can’t read the makers plate.

Please give the voltage and FLC. DOL or star/delta starting. Supply status (will it cope with the starting load)?

No one can give an answer until we know the above.

I think it reads 93 amps as far as I can make out, was thinking of installing 2 100 amp 4 pole lockable isolators, one above Scottish powers main incomer and another next to the compressor for local isolation, do u think this is overkill or the best way to go?
Thanks
