Hi All, I'm testing a prison, anyone know what innoculations I should have ?. Any sensible replies would be appreciated, just for the record I have allready had one for stupidity, cheers

Menigitis a&c tetinus should cover you but if you are arleady working there might be too late it takes about a week to protect you hope this helps bud

Hep b and tetanus, The hep is the main one, Mine are all done due to the 'other' job.

The worry is from a sharps exposure, ie glass or needles, HIV dies vey quickly on leaving the body so is not a real worry from old needles/glass/blades. Hep B however can survive for extended periods outside the body and therefore is a high risk from old needles/glass etc.

It is unlikely you will come into direct contact with prisoners so you will not get fresh spittle.

I ACTUALLY THINK YOU ARE PROBABLY WORRYING TOO MUCH.

Hep B used to be a course of 3 jabs, not sure what it is these days as I am now deemed imune for life.

Hep b is three jabs over six weeks but can be done in 4 weeks then you need your bloods taking if your levels are ok you are then covered for ten years if not a booster jab then bloods again if that fails you start all over again just remember hep b is given to medical staff because of close contact with bodily fluids

The last thing that will happen is that you will come into contact with the inmates, I would say that you are far more at risk from the vaccines than you are from the inmates.
