How do all,

Just registered with the Forum and want to get rid of that "virgin poster"
message I've just received, it's on that's probably been on a million times
so apologies, but I'd still appreciate a few suggestions. I'm a JIB registered
Installation electrician with 17th edition and a decent understanding of
Inspection an testing, I've just started a new role and I'm doing a bit of
testing filling in the Niciec sheets, which course would be the best for me to
gain a C&G as I've heard the 2391 has changed? Many thanks

Yes, 2394 can be taken as either EAL or C&G. As Simon says, there is a closed book final exam if you go down the C&G route. If you choose to do EAL then there is just an open book multi-choice test at the end (and the practical assessment obviously). Daz

Is it just me or have all the electrical exams been dumbed down over the past 10 yrs and if so why ?

To be fair this gets said all the time (and has been for years) about all forms of exams - GCSEs, A-levels, degrees etc. It's partly true I'm sure, but also I think it's a generation thing - us older generations always think the young ones have it easier. Daz
