inspection and testing

I have an inspection and testing course in 3weeks time, am just looking for info on what I could do to prepare for the course. I don't have any books or anything. Thanks

Guidence notes 3, on site guide and BGB. These are the main ones. Get to know the GN3 inside out and you should be ok. Watch you tube videos aswell, they will show you the practical side of stuff. There are other books on inspection and testing, just search on amazon.

Plus I'd recommend getting a MFT, some T&E, sockets etc. Once you've read the books makes up some "circuits" and do some dead tests. Then progress to doing some dead then live tests on your own home.

Plus check what you need for the course, turning up with attitude and an iphone won't guarantee a pass.

I dunno, ....maybe i am a thick ****, but assuming you are already working in the industry, you would know what ITE publications and books that would cover inspection and testing criteria. Having said that, wouldn't the course you have booked, not have a recommended/specified reference to the publications/books etc, you need in order to successfully complete this course??

What ever sort of course is it when they don't inform you on the text books that you will require E54 is correct you must know what is required of you if you are in the electrical industry!!!!!!!!!!

Yes I am in the industry but there are lots of books and websites, I was looking for a preferred one, maybe with mock exams in!
