I am in the process of carrying out a periodic in a school and am looking for a bit of advice.
I have came across a 12kw electrical water tank mounted above a false ceiling on two rsj's,would they have to be bonded if so what code would that be.
Also there is a electrical water fountain mounted below a ageing two gang brass light switch, with the face plate only receiving an earth through the screws onto the box. However one of the sockets in the school i have tested all ready which was relying on the fixing screws was getting a reading of 85 ohms at the socket, but when i opened the socket and clipped the earth on the bush at the back of the socket the reading was 0.44 ohms, indicating that the earth path isn't reliable.
Could i recommend that the lighting circuit be protected by an rcd as there is an increased risk of electric shock, due to kids flicking off and on with the switches with wet hands,or replacing the switch with an ip rated switch.

Any help would be gratefully received

Hot water above a false ceiling and chidlren around
I would be concerned about any possible risks that overheating or venting of that hot water, considering the recent tragic death of a baby in a domestic situation recently
Is there potential danger and are the electrical and venting safegaurds adequate?

The sockets seem to be in need of a cpc by the sounds of it
