inspection & testing of electrical installations to bs7671: 2008

hey has anyone out there done the select inspection and testing course? i'm due to do it in a wk just lookin for a bit of advice about it! cheers guys

Yep I have done it but would advise like any course you do some studying before hand ie got Christopher Kitchers book and because there was a 2-3 month waiting list for the course I just took time out to study not too much but enough. Only problem I had at the course was basically one big obeese spark who could not stop clicking his bloody pen and at first I thought it was nerves but it later tranpired that he had been doing I&T for ages so the course for him was just a formality. Like some fools he looked pleased that he was putting people off whilst pretending that he could barely keep up.

thanks oldtimer, i've been doin some reading up and practical training so hopefully it benefits me! just one last question, were the lecturers quite helpful to people who hadn't done alot of I&T? cheers

Yep they are not there to trip you up and are very helpfull

In Scotland Select does a I&T course that is suffice for sparks and is recognised in Scotland as they are the govering body.
