hi i have been asked to price up a job for a power supply to a garage the nearest point would be from a ring main socket from the house
the customer wants 2x 2g sockets plus a light point

would i be right in saying feed with swa to a FCU first then from that point to install sockets and lights

any help would be appreciated

its connected by a wall ?- that tells me nothing. What are you saying, the fourth wall of the garage is also a house wall ? You had better explain this properly, or is your "wall" one that arches over to a garage with a gate to the garden built into it ?- Trying to help mate !!

Right. Its a building outside the equipotential zone of the house then. If anyone was thinking of installing a FCU off the back of a socket to a remote building then they want shooting. Next thing we all need to know, (I apologise if you have said) Is what type of supply do you have ? TNS, TNCS, TT, ?
Does the garage already have a power supply ?
