im installing a pump which is roughly 750w. what im looking to do is to spur off an existing single socket, which is on its own circuit, which is fed by a 20a re-wireable fuse. then running 2.5mm from the single socket across a distance of 65m through the rafters of a barn to a junction box where i will the run swa down the barn then underground to the pump housing with a ip rated single socket in, which i can then plug the pump in to.

is there anything im missing and is this ok?

thanks

sounds ok but maybe install an RCD Fused Spur at the starting point of cable run to give you that bit protection at the New socket

Based on 65m Run

Required Cable Size 1.5 mm
Voltage Drop 5.72 Volts.
Percentage Drop 2.5%
Current Load 3.00 Amps
Max Cable Load* 23.0 Amps

or run through a inline rcd further upstream although durhams rcd spur is a simpler idea (personally they are ugly looking things so depends wether cosmetics are a issue or not)
