I was wondering today if cooker installers from the large retailers always install the anti tilt widget. Yesterday I had one that required the solid floor to be drilled. Trying to work out where the hole had to be was a right hassle because the instructions were useless. Also hole depth was greater than my metal detector is effective for copper piping.

I think the "large retailers" tend to "install" them on a pallet up your drive or at best, near where you want it...The kits that fit to the floor are bobbins, poor access, plus dodging U/F,joists,pipes,insulation etc, the wall mounted kits are better, remember the old gas chain and hook?...most of these devices nowadays are notional and not functional. Look at the screw and plugs you get with a wall mounted TV bracket,50 Kgs of flat screen and fixings fit for a bird table...so tomorrow morning i'm taking out my seat belt and fitting a fluffy jacket an' a velcro chair....rant terminated.:bomb:
