Discuss Insulation Resistance 500v if testing between E with L and N connected??? in the Australia area at ElectriciansForums.net
Hi Daniel, The Fluke 1651 functions define it as a Multifunction Tester (MFT) and NOT a Multimeter.Fluke 1651, pretty sure it's a multimeter. So safe to test at 500v with L and n connected on a circuit selv accessories?
Are you 100% certain that there is no option to change the test voltage on the 1651?
I thought it could test at 50V, 100V, 250V, 500V and 1000V?
To change voltages, don't you just have to toggle theF4 button?
But dont forget ...this is regarded as a limited test....and as such you would have to agree this test with the client firstIs it a multimeter or a MFT? Link the L-N and test them to E, that way both L and N are at the same potential during testing.
