When testing insulation resistance between line and neutral conductors of a ring circuit you taught to unplug all devices to irradicate false readings. But as double sockets switch the line conductor, am I right in saying you could just switch them all off?

But as double sockets switch the line conductor

i assume you mean double pole sockets switch line and neutral. but how can you tell if they're double pole by looking at them?
