Insulation test on Selv downlights?

Hi All

I've done my C&G2382 and now I'm studying for 2392.

I was mucking about at home with various tests and came across this and I'm a bit stumped.

How do you do an insulation test on the ELV downlights? Is there a way that you don't just read the resistance of the transformer?

Hope you can improve my understanding.

most transformers are electronic, so i would not be testing L/N anyway.

You can only test L/N-E with the transformers in however you should be testing the low voltage cabling prior to fitting transformers. I use the click plugs to connect d/lights so its easy to disconnect them for testing.
