Hello, this is my first post.I'd appreciate advice on an insulation resistance test which came to a halt.Testing between the line busbar and neutral bar on a BS 3036 board my multifunction meter sounded a warning and showed over 400v between the probes. The main switch was open and this meter and two simple meters all confirmed zero when set to measure voltage between said line busbar and the neutral bar. Thanks.

welcome to the twilight zone of confusion. can't help you there, mate. gremlins in the MFT?

never got used to these new fangled meters without magic moving needles. don't trust 'em.
