interlinked fire alarms

Hello chaps,

Been asked to price some fire alarms for domestic houses, (HMO's) just interlinked off a local circuit not full installs with panels etc.. All the info I have is the houses are for example..
8 bedrooms over 3 floors and two kitchens etc. I am under the impression I need one on each landing and one on the entrance hall plus heat detectors in the kitchen all no further than 7.5metres apart, however do I need to put them in the rooms as well, they are student houses and all have individual living spaces but comunial kitchens and bathrooms.

Ideally for full protection, they should be in all the student rooms.

Must admit, if it was me, i would quote to put them in those rooms as well.
