What do you guys use for internet access when on site/ out and about? Do you use anything?

My only access is currently from home, I also dont carry a laptop with me and do everything on paper with certs on carbon copy paper.
Who else does this?

I just use for these forums and Facebook. It's only a WAP connection, so anything more than that is not worth it.

I would love to get an iPhone for full browsing, but I'm not a ponce! :D

Windows moble internet sharing enables you to use a suitable mobile phone as a modem for your laptop.Just pop your usb cable in and away you go. ( I have an XDA stellar that works a treat )
Just in case you dont have a macdoogals close...

I have a 3 dongle for out n about, works quite well, 70 quid for 12 months or 12 gig, whichever comes first. I do large downloads at home and use the dongle for day to day browsing and emailing. It's not too clever in the yorkshire rural areas, but have never found a problem in large towns and cities. Got it from carphone warehouse.

O2 dongle ÂŁ2 per day, ÂŁ7.50 per week or ÂŁ15 per month.............this is of course pay-as-you-go. Will have to look into a low cost pay monthly option too..........

For a quick search I can access the internet through my HTC 3G touch phone..

ÂŁ15 per month for the o2 pay monthly dongle that I use.

Only downfall is roaming charges I used it 1 night a few weeks ago when I was abroad as hotel wifi wouldn't work and cost ÂŁ42 for a few hours browsing the forum. (Boss was not a happy bunny.)

Hi

Use a small netbook and my T-Mobile G2 mobile phone as a modem. Most phones with internet access can do this. It's known as "tethering" and you just need a usb cable and a cheap bit of software. Works great.

Used for completing and emailing certificates and invoices to customers. Try and get most of my paperwork done during the day so I'm not locked in the office every night.

was using a netbook from orange for 24 quid a month but that ended and i got an iphone.
Now you can slag me off for having one, i dont mind. But i have to say that having my emails arrive to my phone is perfect for the business.

Ive got tomtom on it too, so it does all my sat nav stuff. If i need to find a local screwfix or cef its great. Also saves me having separate sat nav to find addresses.
Goes in the the holder in the motor and charges up and links up bluetooth to my stereo so i can make and take calls on the move. Facebook and ebay apps are cool, they just push thru alerts to you in real time when they happen.
Or for that matter a local KFC..!
My mate just got one too off the 3 network for 18 quid a month...!
