Hello guys,
So I have started up on my own. I am still doing contracted work but trying to focus more on my own work. So here is the question:

I was called out today to an organization where I did a small repair work. When I have finished I asked them will they pay cash or they need an invoice. They said invoice of course. At this moment I did not really know what to do so I sad to them that I will send them an invoice by email. I did that but I can`t shake the feeling that I have walked away without anything proving that I was there at all.

So what are you guys doing in this situation? I know this is a very basic question…. So thank you! :)

You should have a small invoice booklet. So you can essentially sign it and walk away with payment.

I'd personally go down with an invoice and ask for payment!

Yes use a company headed one. Any form of invoice does the job though. Personally go down and hand it to them. Was there a minor works needed? This could be your benefit!
