Hi,

Being a little lazy today and looking for some suggestions please.

Client has bought a nice water feature which is supplied with a PSU which needs to be located "outside". The feature will be seperate from any buildings so SWA will be run to supply it.

I'm after an IP rated enclosure with a 13A socket in it plus space for the PSU and cable.

Ideas please!!

Thanks.

Yes, but the feed cable the patio chap has put in for the client is swa so all I need now is a way of attaching a socket to the swa within the enclosure, without taking up too much space so the PSU fits!

How about a blank enclosure, with the swa made off into a coupler, connected to a metal clad socket outlet fitted within the enclosure?

or why not gland the SWA into the bottom of the box and feed its tails to the socket & PSU?

Large Ip rated adaptable box make the SWA off then keep the inner sheath in tacked, moulded back box inside the adaptable box with a domed stuffing gland.

Yes, that's a good idea. Just tracked down the instructions for the box and its supplied with "velcro" to "attach" sockets etc so whilst it won't be all screwed together its use doesn't demand "strong" attachment as I'm sure the couple won't be plugging it in and out for their ghetto blaster every 5 minutes!

This is how it looked when done, used the smaller Time Guard box and the spike kit (after I'd smashed a hole in the new concrete base built for his water feature!).
