Whilst testing Insulation Resistance between L & N, L&E and N&E (radial or a ring circuit); I know the L and N should be disconnected from the bars but should the earth be left in on the earth bar on the DB or should be removed? I had been doing IR only by disconnecting all the three from the bar until now:mickey:. Many thanks!

i prefer to dis all 3 ( 6 on a rfc.) then there's no possibility of parallel paths giving a false reading.

Better practice at the early stages to remove all conductors so you are in full control (or so you assume) of the installation under test.
