Hi, can anyone confirm to me what irradiance readings their getting this time of year? i am qualified electrician done pv course completed half a dozen installs upto 12th december. Just need to know if my irradiance readings are common due to my lack of installs and being able to interpret test results. My readings have all been between 80-140 w/m2

as biggs says it sounds perfectly okay. The main thing to discuss with customers is the constant fluctuations in irradiance and how its impossible to judge the sun shining directly on the panels as being a certain wattage. We have many phone calls with customers who expect a clear sunny sky to mean their panels will be working at maximum output! not that simple...

Best peak power I have achieved in the last 3 weeks is 2.04kW from a nominal 3.68kW system.
As this was around midday on a completely clear day (Dec 17th) and the array faces due south I put this down to the low elevation of the sun compared with my 35 deg roof slope and further for it to travel through the atmosphere.
