Hi, im in the same boat I think. I done the 2360 pt's 1 & 2, years ago (completed pt 2 in 2003). In order to have got a JIB Gold card with "electrician" grading (at that time) I would have needed to complete the NVQ 3 (I never did get it, wish I had). Therefore to answer your question the 2360 (pt2) level 3 qualification is not equivalent to an NVq3. However, if you completed the 2360 before the NVQ was introduced you might get away with it.
Now (in 2014) I dont know what's happening, all the qualifications are different and ive read somewhere that the NVQ has been (or is soon to be) scrapped.
Did you find out any info, because I myself want to get a gold card and i not sure if I can still do the NVQ or not, or if I need to do some other kind of course. Im hoping that I can do some kind of in house practical course on a bit of plyboard that is equivalent to the NVQ3. What did you find out ?
