NOT one wholesaler has deliverd what they have promised! even though they have been paid up front!! they take your money but give u no help in return!!another lost day today! monday be a loss poss tuesday waiting for kit that was GOING to BE HERE TODAY!paying blokes to stand around! I SHOULD OF PULLED THE PLUG AND BEEN DONE WITH IT!!

I'm not MCS.
However I have recently carried out a shopfit in the new Westfield Stratford City shopping centre.
On that site were timed deliveries, and if the driver missed the deliver they could be turned back.
When the shopping centre was about to open the driver could arrive on time at 8am and could wait until 3pm to be unloaded.

So I wouldn't be at the in this position I collected the materials and dropped them on site.
I was criticise by the shopfitter who said In was wasting my time doing this.
However I feel that if it's coming out of my pocket I'd rather waste the time then waste the cash for paying men to stand around.

I also install alot of CCTV equipment. I get that equipment delivered to my partners shop and bring it to site with me.

can you collect your panels from the wholesaler?

so you don't waste Monday?

done that last monday ! 1 man 1 van 8hrs driving!!! this lot not got half the kit in!! so no point!!! (dont get into solar)

can they give you an expected delivery date?
do you have a contract and so have anything in writing?
with the deadline of the 12th coming up I can see things getting messy (legally speaking)

lol they have no answers!!! 4 suppliers have failed to supply what was payed for but LEGAL would be a waste of time even when u have iron clad case! its same everywhere!! no point having a heart attack because your supplier has FAILED!! what annoys me is I SAY TO THEM IS IT A DEFO!! as scaffold will go up day before OH YES NO PROBS! result is £500 down on job if scaffold has to come down again! anyway i need to chillllllllllllllllllllllllllllll or im gonna have a heart attack!!!

Have you enough cash to buy 2 kits at a time or have you not managed to get to that stage? All of our stuff is coming a week before installation so I've got time to chase what has been missed off. We've had quite a few bits short - it seems like we've got a few jobs that are 90% finished, just waiting for odd bits. BUT because we've built in a week's leeway it's not impacting on installation times or our roofing subbies.

We stashed our cash ready for this happening but if you haven't been going long enough then times are tough at the minute. I'd reduce the number of jobs you're doing, extend the time slightly and try to get the kit earlier - all should buy you a bit fo time between delivery and installation.

ive paid up front 3 weeks ago! i cant believe they held back 2 kits because they didnt have 40mm mid clamps!!! sounds strange to me but a CALL would of been good to say DONT SIT IN OFFICE ALL DAY ITS NOT COMING! part kit would let us get stuff started! now its a should be with u wednesday/thursday even though PROMISED FOR TODAY!!i think its a case of both suppliers doing there own instals ie taking bits they need but you never prove it!! trouble is who do u shout at!!

It's too late for you now but before the next crisis you'll have built a relationship witha couple of wholesalers who will look after you. I haven't shouted at any of our wholesalers they have all done the best they can with what they have available. I tend not to trust wholesalers who install too but sometimes you just don't have any choice.

I was thinking I'd maybe buy kits after 12/12 but you've put me off. We've always had roof kit and more often than not inverters to at least get started with - no-one can afford dead time but unfortunately it's just the way it is for now.

Keep calm, don't put any scaffolding up until you have the kit in your office/depot/yard and if you have to give a deposit back because you can't install then it's not the end of the world - having a heart attack on the other hand, may be

i recommend Carbomat - the most they have been is a day late.

What i don;t recommend is ****ing site surveys who go and look at the site, draw the roof plan, draw the electrical diagram... but don;t spot the stinking huge dormer half way up the middle of the house. When i turned up this morning i thought they had scaffolded the wrong house. 3 in landscape my arse.

oh dear not good then still better than waiting all day for something that nevers comes!still paperwork started!
