I have had 20 x 190w Upsolar panels installed on a South facing roof with a Eversol 4600 transformer. I happened to notice that I was exporting around 3.5kw/h the other afternoon, so went into the loft to look at the transformer. Whilst looking I witnessed the generation peak at 4294kw/h, is this common or are my panels not what I think they are?

That sounds like far too much. Are you sure you don't have 22 x 190w panels?

More to the point, did the contractor inform the DNO prior to connection?

The Eversolar TL4600 has a maximum output of 16A (when set to G83, which it will be) so even though you were generating more it will not be getting exported to the grid above 16A.
Often you will find any array will "overgenerate" as all modules are tested under standard test conditions of 1000w/m2. If you ever have a play with a solar power meter you will find on a sunny day you can readings of 1300w/m2. More input, more output. If a 190w panel had 2000w/m2 input it's output would be nearer 380w.

In summary, don't worry, just enjoy your fit moneys!

Definately only 20 panels! I asked about informing the DNO and the contractor said they take care of all that. Cheers.
