This type of comment infuriates me - different Government departments saying different things:

A spokesperson for Department of Communities and Local Government said today the department was still "considering responses" to the consultation and "no decisions have yet been taken". But a source at the Department of Energy and Climate Change told GreenWise: "It is unlikely the changes will go ahead".

Well there is a surprise.
Incidentally, can anyone tell me whether to fulfill green deal work you will be restricted in whom you can buy materials from, ie a Green Deal provider. If this turns out to be the case, will this then be in contravention of both UK and EU competition law. Will this be just another way of the big boys getting their snouts in the trough to the exclusion of small business?
