Been doing a favour sorting out a bit of wiring for a plumber who had a ÂŁ2000 "upgrade" to their wiring (ripped off)
The electrician in question is NICEIC approved Contractor (don't say so on his van), he completed a board change, accessory change, changed socket heights and rewired kitchen and utility.
I've found three 2.5mm radial socket circuits protected by 32A mcb's,1 ring circuit which has no results for continuity of ring final conductors on his test schedule, metal light switch's not earthed and sockets in the loft wired in 1.5mm which he didn't install but did reconnect.
I'm not going to dob him in, I've suggested to the home owner that he rings him and gets him back to rectify it and if not report him.

So much dross out there. No point dobbing nowt will happen. Unless theres a death or he's not actually NIC then they're interested.

Theres a huge job creation hole there, like a new 40,000 strong team of traffic wardens, policing electrical work.

Contact the nic...see if there aware of this "man"....if not then not only is he doing work that dont comply with F**k all.........but he`s also using there name to procure work...........

Same thing today, hotel rooms keep eating sockets and appliance plugs, finally called me in as I,d done a PIR a year ago and raised concerns turns out a couple of radials that start in 4mm at the board all rewired in 2.5 13 outlets on each, Zs off the scale near the end with more spurs than a rodeo,
