Hi,

I am a tiler that is frequently installing electric UFH and have recently hooked up with a plumber to offer full bathroom installations.

Obviously, I cannot connect the wiring so rely on an electrician to validate the UFH warranty. Also, I would like to be able to connect "like for like" power showers and lighting etc in bathrooms and be able to offer Minor Works Certificates.

Is there a course that I can attend to enable me to become suitably qualified for this kind of work?

I appreciate any guidance.
Many thanks,

Good point Phil,

I'm on the Cambridgeshire / Essex / Suffolk border.

Do you think a course exists to let me achieve what I want? I'm happy to travel within reason.

hi Daz i think it will be a defined scope scheme membership you will be after. there will be courses offering the training etc but they might be asking silly money. if i was you i would ring round the schemes and see what they are asking for qualification/ experience wise mate.
Elecsa

give them a bell mate and see what they say before you go spending loads on a course that you probably don`t need

My public liability covers me for 5 mil, but I would need to notify that I would be offering electrics too so that may push the premium up. I'll cross that bridge when I'm qualified to do the work .

there is a link on here i will pop on this thread. i got quoted around 80 quid for the liability insurance including indemnity so it may be worth giving them a try if yours goes through the roof.
