Only me again...

Is this allowed, not my normal way but not much room for maneuver on this one (ideally would have on 2 individual isolators)

Have oven rated at 2.8kW, integrated microwave sat right on top rated at 3.4kW...

Can these both go on one 45a DP switch? Will be supplied via 32a mcb on 6mm (sorry forgot to state this bit earlier on)

Many Thanks,

Sy

Problems with fusing the appliances possibly....you wont want them on a 45a protective device.....while the 2.8 kw could be run through an fcu,the 3.4kw appliance will exceed 13a which would rule out a 13a plug/fcu......

Im with WP onn this 2 radials preferably specialy with a 20a microwave the industrial ones Iv seen dont like 13a sockets even tho rated just below 13 we generaly fitted 16a comandos on radials as the 13a breaks down when in constant use
Are you sure its 3.4 kw in domestic?

sure is.... 3.4kW, combi, grill, microwave oven

Being fed from CU, 6mm radial, 32a mcb

You could down rate the protection device to 32 amps and as the OSG advises you can connect 2 items of cooking equipment providing the circuit exceeds 15amp but not greater than 50amps and that both pieces of equipment are within 2 metres of the switch

If the manufacturers instructions do not advise against it as in reg 536.2 then really there is not a long wrong in doing what you propose.

That is your connected load, It is highly unlikely that you will be able to use the grill/microwave simultaneously. Most micros are 800 to 950 or so watts, so that grill is the main power element in that unit..

Then you have the oven, which again will have elements that are not possible to be used simultaneously... So once again where cooking equipment is concerned, the actual current draw, bears no resemblance to those shown or given on the appliances, the boxes and in the instruction booklets....

i wonder

i know on the standard fan ovens -they have changeover switch from grill to oven

but don't these things grill and microwave simultaneously?

Your right there, and I do find diversity to be a very helpful formula.... it was only a few years ago I would still be wiring a 9.5kW hob on it's own 10mm radial:nopity:
