Loooking to do a shower install, asked wholesale (Edmunsons) for price on things.
This is the item that they gave me a price for.
Does this comply with amendment 3.

No, unless the abs body & pc lid meet the non-combustible requirements of Amd3.

Does it need to meed the Amd3 non-combustible requirements?

It still might not, as there are other options for meeting the non-combustible requirements, but, these do take some thought, and I don't think that a cursory glance at the building could confirm that.
So, it doesn't comply, unless the OEM guarantees that the polymers used, PC & ABS meet the non-combustible requirements of Amd 3.
This is possible, but, as yet, AFAIK, no CU OEM has done this.

Thanks for the replys, I will find out if they can provide another board which is certified for amendment 3.
This way I can be sure that it complies. I'm quite surprissed the amount of Shower boards that dont seem to mention there compliance with the new regs. Would of thought adding a new board for RCD protection ona shower would be common place.
