Hi guys,
I'm really a noob in electrical and i'm having proBlem with my household electrical devices.

The thing is i do not know if it is static or actual electricity charges on my cpu casing, thermos, anything with metallic casing. I did ask around and the best that i got was the theory that at some plug point, the live cable was tied to 'neutral'?

Is this true? How do i hunt down which socket is responsible for this?

Initially i thought it was alright but my CPU is now dead. Help....

I thank you for your time...

First of all what type of flooring do you have say it is a nylon carpet then when you walk up to your cpu and touch the metal casing you could be getting a static shock

CPU being dead does not mean a jot as if it is still plugged in then the casing is still earthed wether it is switch on or off

Is the electrical thermos flask or boiler ... Something like tt...
The static can be quite of a sting.... For as long as these appliances are plugged in the socket... The static starts stinging when there's physical contact to ppl...
