I have this scenario: 2.5 mm SWA goes out from the CU and clamped direct on to the external wall into a water-tight plastic box (meant for this type of connection) and connected to the SWA cable coming from the garage – the connection is made using a JB. Does the REG objects using a JB inside that kind of box for external connections? Is there anything else available?

With the current arrangement I find it more protected against splash or leakage than using one of these from

If you're feeding a SWA into any enclosure I'd would use glands without thinking about it.
Some say, I've read it on here somewhere, you don't have to use glands! Totally bad practice in my eyes.





or have I completely misunderstood your problem?
