Richard

On a big site today and we got asked to have a look at wiring a Readymix tower (cement silo).

We don't do alot with motors so please excuse me.

The plug on it was a BLUE 4 pin 32A type. Obviously no instructions.

I would have thought 4 pins = 400V wired in Delta? and earth (from my college days)

So why would it have a Blue cover? or is it likley to be the case that someone has replaced the cover with the wrong colour?

Please see attached a photo of the Data plate

Thanks

Readymix tower gave the game away.
The site will be under M&Q regs. 3ph 230V is a common thing to find.
Just watch out on lighting circuits if they are on the 230V 3ph system, 2 pole fusing and switching is needed.
