Hi all, is it sufficient to turn off the switch to the boiler when doing an IR test? I thought only double pole switches would isolate both phase and neutral and a boiler ran off a fused spur isn't double pole? Dimmer switches you disconnect and join phase and neutral, do you do this at the fused spur when isolating the boiler.

I give up!

safe isolation would have been done. My question was before doing an insulation resistance to see if the fused connection unit at a boiler would be isolated ie so when an IR test is done the current wouldnt pass to the boiler damaging the pcb.
