Hi chaps, Had a sub contractor working with us the other day who insisted the emergency lighting in the installation we were installing had to be 'isolated' by the test key switch in both the line and neutral conductors.
As far as I was aware a test key switch is a 'test facility' and there is no need for it to be a means of isolation for both line and neutral. After all it still activates the emergency light when operated ?
Any thoughts?
