Just wanting to know what size the thread is on one of these valves. Its the type of valve you turn with a flat blade screwdriver to turn on and off.

When I say the thread, I'm on about the compression nut

thought it was. at least some measurements have not gone foreign. British Standard Pipe, about the only British Standard that is still British!

i find the opposite. plumb center and electric center are the same company. i deal with both, tho' not much with plumb. i try to leave the wet work to the drip boys. b&q sometimes cheaper on a wenesday, 10% off with my old gits card

15mm is 1/2" BSP and 22mm is 3/4" BSP

Always find them over priced, Plumb Center IMO has always been expensive B&Q can be cheaper than them

Sorry but that isn't true, 15mm is slightly bigger than 1/2 inch and 22mm is shorter than 1 inch, and you would need to use the likes of this for the 15mm Yorkshire Kuterlite Straight Tap Connector 626 15mm x ½" - Screwfix.com, Where the Trade Buys

And this Yorkshire Kuterlite Straight Tap Connector 626 22mm x Âľ" - Screwfix.com, Where the Trade Buys for the 22mm.

And screwfix / and mainly toolstation now are cheaper than both of them.

sorry but that is true, im sure UNG knows 15mm is bigger than 1/2inch and 22mm is more than 3/4", sure he also knows the 15 and 22mm refer to the pipe in question and the 1/2". 3/4" refers to the thread profile, ie "British Standard Pipe" thread.
