Ay up lads

I'm about to install 10mm2 5 core swa for 63 amp chiller protected by 63a MCCB, should I provide rotary isolator for it? Chiller must be working 24h/7

Its my first industrial install and probably my pay rise depend on it. I know there is the reg saying "means of isolation shall be provided" but the chiller needs to be permamently on and powerd up through a 5pin plug. Can you help guys?

Fit a switched 5 pin socket outlet, capable of being locked in the OFF POSITION. With interlock to st an inadvertent removal of the plug on load.

Cheaper to just fit a rotary isolator. Why install a socket? If this machine is to run 24H it's hardly something portable. It'll be fixed in place with pipe work and heat ex changers.

Edit: Sorry, I miss read the OP. Didn't see it came with a plug. Even still, I would take it off and wire into a normal rotary isolator installed next to the machine.

I would keep the plug, reason although hopefully you would have carried out the safe isolation correctly, the sight of a plug dangling by the machine would give you greater confidence that the machine was in fact isolated, in my opinion anyway.
