Hi guys and girls,

I am having a slight issue with my multi meter,

its display has randomly flickered whilst on voltage then the continuity buzzer just went off.. and the screen crashed.

I have a feeling it's shorted internally due to the strange behaviour, when I use the rotary to turn it off then back on it resets...
I must also say I haven't had it calibrated since I first got it three years ago.

Anyone had a similar issue?.

Cheers,
HW

If it hasn't been used much then there may be dust/dirt in the rotary contacts. Have you tried rotating the dial a number of times to wear away any surface grime? Can you get into it with some contact spray?
Murdoch - do you have your multimeter calibrated? MFT yes but multimeter?
