Hello guys and gals,
I was just wanting to be a 100% sure before I do...
Are you ok issuing certs that have been edited and printed off?

For instance I am about to issue a Minor Works Certificate for a job I have just done in a shop.
I have moved a cooker point and connected a new cooker point with socket.
Raised up 4 sockets to counter height from floor.

Given that there are modifiable PDF's, are you permitted to issue these or do you have to buy the Minor Works Certificate Book?
I know it's only ÂŁ13 but I am just checking. I think it would look better filled in on the PC and printed off to sign, with any cert.
Thanks

Ian

No that's fine, you should also keep a copy of the certificate so should any changes to it happen, you have proof of the one you issued.

G
iven the likes of the Niceic,Napit Eca/elecsa and whoever else seem happy to play around with the IEE originals and include all sorts of useless stuff, you are no different
As organisatoins they have no more right than any of us to mould them to suit,as long as its based on the Iee model forms

If you buy a PC based certificate package, sure you have to buy the software but once you've done this you can print as many as you like.

I use PIRform and once you've created a MWC for a client you can "copy" it (to save inputting all the same data again) and then update the bits you need to. Once you've created the 2 (or more certs) you can email them with your invoice to the client, again saving on ink cartridges.

Who are you registered with? I'm with Elecsa and my assessor prefers the computer generated certs.
