I sent off my FIT application together with all of the paperwork to Atlantic Energy (Cardiff) by special delivery last Friday.

They contacted me on Tuesday to say that the delivery had arrived at their office on Monday.

This morning, by post, I received the FIT documents ready for me to sign.

Especially under the current circumstances, that is VERY impressive service in my opinion.

I spent 10 weeks getting eON to accept my paperwork, and after 3 phone calls and finally with me suggesting that I make a complaint to ofgem, the contract appears next day !

Crap service.

Oh dear, that doesn't bode well. nearly 4 wks so far I've been waiting for contract with EON.

If you phone E.On, they are very good and should be able to confirm they've received your app. Ask them also to confirm the app if correct and 'safe'.

If you want written confirmation, email them with your details - they replied to me within 3 days.

My EDF receipt came back within 5 days but only a receipt saying it takes 2 weeks to check application and if anything wrong they will let me know. Whats the next thing I should receive?

I believe that they do. Certainly the FIT application asks if the applicant is an Atlantic customer, so this implies that they will take outside business. I was a little pushy with them and it is possible that this together with being an existing customer may accelerate the process. Then again, they could simply be a better oiled machine than their competition.
