Changed a consumer unit for a customer yesterday who liked to tell me how much he knew about electrics, and had done alot of work himself in his house as well as for friends. When it came to testing found many problems, mostly earth faults, a couple of reverse polarities on sockets. Funny thing was that as soon as i started discovering these problems he immediately started back tracking on how much work he had apparently done in his own house (the phrase he used is 'it wasnt me!'! Best part is when i put in the invoice for the board change and install cert he moaned about the cost, even though I sorted the problems out for free! No pleasing some people!

In the great words of Shaggy:-

"I installed the shower"

It wasn't me.

"Played around with the sockets"

It wasn't me.

"I even touched the boiler"

It wasn't me.

"ive even put up my own cameras"

"A sparky came in and caught me red handed playing with the things I don't know.

Picture this I was butt naked getting shocks on the bathroom floor.

How was I to know not to mess around with electricity, when all the time you were standing there thinking about part P.

IT WASN'T ME.
