This is one for all the scottish sparks as i will need some advice please.

I have applied for my ACA for regrading to approved status. Does anyone have any advice on this assesment?

ACA is the Advanced Competence Assessment. I need to do this before I can join the NIC or Select etc

Brush up on the safe isolation and testing procedures

Done mine a few years back.
All based on safe isolation and testing procedures, there is also an open book test on various things like the above and also sort of foreman type related questions ie would you get a spark/apprentice/labourer to do certain tasks.

Try and get some hands on testing and read up on guidance note 3 that should set you up for it. They should also send you out a booklet which shows you the booths containing the layouts that you will be testing/isolating.
