jib card renewal help

right, i finished my apprenticeship in 2006 including nvq3 which was in 2006, my jib card ran out last year (which i didnt realise until recently when i passed my 17th edition regs)

my question is, do i have to do an health and safety (ecs) exam, or not?

i was told by a friend that i didnt need to because i completed the nvq under 5 years ago, can anyone clarify this?

you will be required to do the electrotechnical health and saftey assessement (ECS).
THEY only last 2 yrs..www.esccard.org.uk

Your friend is correct.

The NVQ exempts you from the Health & Safety Assessment for a period of five years. This would be clearly stated on the application form.
