Hello, I got my JIB card at the end of my apprenticeship in 1993 but haven't worked as a spark since.

If I apply for a new JIB card will I have to do any exams or anything?

I think you will have to do a health and safety exam and your 17th edition

you may have to do the 17th

thats why i got it out the way

and the cscs part because thats for 2 years

Yes....I've just had to renew my CSCS (ECS) as it was due to run out in June. 40 question test 30 mins to dot it in.....I was out in 8mins, the test is rediculously easy.

do you have to do a crb check now as well ?

You dont have to, no.

If you need one for working in schools or hospitals etc then the JIB can do it for you and add it to your card......for a fee.

I've not long had mine done but that was via the police directly.

they will add your shoe size soon for a fee of course
