hi i am going to price a full rewire to a 2 bedroom fairly large bungalow tommorow (which is my first) i am fully qulaified and have experience but not in pricing jobs.
i really ont want to over charge and not get the job and i really dont want to undercut myself.

i would like to know what to charge roughly for each point ÂŁ30 - ÂŁ60? and does this include the labour and materials cable ect.?

how much for a consumer unit change? also does it include cable and material pricing.

cooker points , tv points, lights everything.

any help would be appreciated a lot.
thankyou.

go for ÂŁ45 per point ( treat a light switch as a point ) for standard plastic accessories. shower and cooker points at ÂŁ80 per point. add up the total , say it comes to ÂŁ2800, then estimate the cost of materials and time to do the job. then go for the higher of the 2 totals. if going down the RCBO route, add the cost of the RCBOs.

Easiest way really is to total up your material cost ÂŁxxxx
Then number of hours it will take x your rate ÂŁxxxx
Add a few quid for contigencies ÂŁxxxx
Add any other costs (cert fees insurances office exps etc) ÂŁxxxx
Any other costs you need to cover
Total them all up and theres your price

this is where you have to use your judgement. if the per point pricing looks too low when you've costed out materials and labour at , say ÂŁ20 per hour,, then shove the per point price up a bit. i would guess a final price should be around ÂŁ3000 +/- ÂŁ300 unless there are loads of sockets, downlighters etc.
