So im currently starting up on my own, but at the min im still on job seekers (Not done no work yet except for family)

I spoke to the job centre and apparently they offer funds for courses to make u get off job seekers (I said basically im on 220 / month - i need NICEIC and 2391 to go self employed.. Its going to take me nearly a year to be able to save up for NICEIC and 2391 maybe 2 years costing you ÂŁ2640 - ÂŁ5280 or i get my NICEIC and 2391 through you costing you about ÂŁ500 - Saving the government ÂŁ2140 - ÂŁ4780 and i become self employed.. and start paying TAX's!)

Just letting you know as i have my meeting Monday to see if they will fund this.. Hey im only getting back all the tax's ive previously paid and got NOTHING for =]

So ill let you all know how it goes and if your ever on job seekers and need it you will be able to claim (If i can)

they will pay for your 2391, but don't tell them you are going self-employed. stress that all the jobs you might be able to apply for want 2391. and that having that qualification will give you a far better chance of getting a job. the 2391 is only about ÂŁ250 at your local college, done evenings over 3 months. might be different though , now, as they;re splitting 2391 into 2 separate things.

get a few job vacancies from web or from JCP that want 2391, printed off, and show the advisor. once you convince them that you have a far, far better chance of getting a job with 2391, then they''l authorise payment for the course. sssimpless

You don't Need 2391, it's nice to have but you don't need it.

I have been a sparks for 17 years still haven't got my 2391.

Reckon I can give most people with their 2391 a good run for their money though.

EDIT:

But in all honesty if I could get it for nothing and had the time then I would.

If you've ever been to school, driven on a road, been to hospital, been arrested, flushed a toilet, walked down a street thats not knee deep in human waste etc etc then I don't think this statement is particulalry justified.
