Hello all. I have a 4 terminal junction box that I'd like to use to terminate a second switch cable. How should the junction box be wired? Is it a simple case that each of the 4 wires from the switch cable screws into a terminal?Help appreciated. Regards. Jon

what is the function of the 2nd switch? is it for 2 way switching, or in parallel with existing switch? explain exactly what you want to achieve.

Hi.

In the room there is 1 light, 1 pull cord switch and 1 light switch, both the switches turn the light on/off respectively.

I want to remove the pull cord switch.

Can I use a junction box to replace the pull cord switch?

Cheers

jon

i assume that you want to do away with the pull cord. first you need to see what wires are connected in the pull switch. a photo would help. easiest option would be to just cut the cord off.
